Начало системе стандартов кодирования товаров и услуг Организации Объединенных Наций United Nations Standard Products and Services Code (UNSPSC) было положено в ноябре 1998 года в результате слияния Общей системы кодирования Организации Объединенных Наций с Системой стандартов кодов, товаров и услуг компании «Дан энд Брэдстрит».
UNSPSC является интеллектуальной собственностью United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) — Программы развития ООН. С целью управления этим стандартом и его развития в феврале 1999 года была создана некоммерческая Ассоциация Управления Кодами Электронной Коммерции — Electronic Commerce Code Management Association (ECCMA). В 2003 году UNDP заключила соглашение с GS1 США, в соответствии с которым это ведомство взяло на себя функции администратора кодов UNSPSC.
Текущая версия включает более 50000 терминов. Кодировки доступны на английском, французском, немецком, испанском, итальянском, японском, корейском, голландском, китайском, португальском, датском, норвежском, шведском и венгерском языках. The United Nations Standard Products and Services Code® (UNSPSC®) is an open, multi-language, multi-sector standard for classification of products and services. Encompassing a five level hierarchical classification codeset, the four primary levels of the code are: Segment, Family, Class and Commodity. Optionally, a further two digits can be added for the business function.
What is the UNSPSC code?
The United Nations Standard Products and Services Code [UNSPSC] is a coding system for goods and services. It enables buyers and sellers to describe goods and services in a common way without referring to any suppliers’ in-house catalogue codes and descriptions. The UNSPSC framework adopts a four or five level classification, using the labels Segment, Family, Class, Commodity and Business Function (optional).
