Who is SubscribeStar.adult for?

SubscribeStar.adult enables the audience to discover new celebrities/talents or just follow the ones they already know. On another hand, we welcome all content creators, established or emerging, in areas, including but not limited to 2D/3D adult art, adult-oriented games’ developers, writers of adult poetry and prose, and others whose content is geared toward a mature (aka «18+») audience.

Any age restrictions?

All content creators (aka «Stars») on SubscribeStar.adult require to mark their page as «18+ only» during the sign-up process.

In addition, to pay for the subscription or make a contribution, a Subscriber must be of legal age for such transactions in his/her area of residency.

Is it safe to use SubscribeStar.adult?

Regarding the security of transactions, storage, etc. we do have all the proper certificates and protocols to keep your experience as safe as possible unless stated otherwise in other documents or by the third party.

While subscribing, you will be asked to fill out a credit card form. You need to do it only once, when subscribing for the first time. For subsequent subscriptions, you can use the same credit card or add a new card.

My payment was declined. What should I do?

There are many reasons why your payment can be declined. Credit card companies don’t tell us the reason behind it. The best way to handle this situation is to contact your bank directly to make sure that your account information is accurate and/or you have sufficient funds.

After a short period of time we will automatically retry to make the payment and notify you of this attempt and the outcome of it.

What should I do if a Star stops posting content?

This is not common, but can happen. Normally when a Star puts his/her page on pause there will be a message that explains the situation. In this case your recurring payment remains frozen (on pause) until the Star returns and resumes their activity. So, you are not being charged for the officially paused subscription.

If the Star has not made an announcement about the pause, you may want to contact this Star and find out what is happening. As a result, you may receive a refund from the Star.

Also, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Furthermore, while canceling, you will be asked for the reason why you wish to cancel. Each and every answer will be counted towards the Star’s credibility and may have consequences.

Referral Associates

Who are the Referral Associates and how can I become one?

Anyone can become a Referral Associate (even if you already have an account on our site). This role gets the best of both worlds: percentage from the revenue of a Star (if they agree) and/or part of the service fees.

This is not a multi-level marketing! You receive a compensation from SubscribeStar.adult directly for each client brought to our platform.

«How to opt out from updates?»

You are able to manage email notifications (updates) under «My Subscriptions» page https://www.subscribestar.adult/subscriptions

Just click on the green envelope icon and confirm that you are really want to disable all notifications from selected Star.

«How to change my account name?»

If you are a Star (content creator), you can change your display name (account name) on the Profile Page Settings page in General section ( https://www.subscribestar.adult/profile/settings ). This will also change your display name if you are a Star and have subscriptions as well. Please, notice that this won’t change your URL/slug.

«I subscribed to the site, but can’t see where to sign in.»

«I was wondering if you have tools for stars to protect against users subscribing to access content, then unsubscribing without having paid?»

Enabled/disabled by the Star, this option manages the amount of time for how long your new Subscribers will be seeing a content limited by the 3 very latest posts of the corresponding subscription tier. After the Trust Period is over, Subscribers will get access to all posts in the related tier. This may help to eliminate «content skimmers» and encourage the real supporters to stay for good.

«I had a notification that my payment failed, but I can’t figure out how to ‘reset’ it. the payment failed was simply because I had no money in my account.»

After that, you should go to My Account Settings ( https://www.subscribestar.adult/account/settings ) and look under section Billing Info. You will want to delete the existing and failed card by clicking an «X» icon to the right of the card in question. Then you will be able to add the same card again and make it a default payment method.

Please, be aware that while you believe your card has failed simply because of the insufficient funds, the reality may be that your card didn’t go through the rigorous verification process that is performed by our payment processor. This may happen by half-a-dozen of reasons. Please, make sure you entered all information required for the credit card and that the information you entered is as precise as possible

«I’ve tried many times to log-in but I can’t. I think I might place a wrong E-mail when subscribing.»

«Do you accept prepaid cards to use for subscriptions?»

Yes, we do accept prepaid cards as a payment method.

Contributions can be made by subscription or by the tipping

Monthly contributions are results of a subscription avenue. If the content creator you would want to support got subscription tier with higher subscription price, then just switch to the higher tier by going to My Subscriptions page ( https://subscribestar.adult/subscriptions ) and clicking on a teal-colored cog icon placed inline with the Star you care.

If the Star doesn’t have a higher tier (the subscription tier with a higher price than you currently pay), then you can request your Star to make one. This is easy and will benefit everybody who’s involved.

If the aforementioned solution isn’t an option, you can resort to the manual donation via «Donate» feature that is available with (almost) all Stars. To make a Donation, simply login into your account and proceed to the Star’s profile page. There, you will see the button «Donate» under the Star’s avatar (left side of the page).

«Will you be able to use PayPal in the near future?»

We do not envision us using PayPal as a payment option in the foreseeable future.

«If I use my credit card for accepting payments, will my privacy be maintained? Or will people be able to see my name?»

There may be a number of reasons for some functionality of the site do not work.

From the experience, the most common one is on the client-side based reason. What this means is that you, as a client, may employ a firewall or some sort of popup blocker (browser plugin or extension) that prevent our site from functioning as expected. To understand if this is the real reason behind the issue, please, disable all firewalls and potentially relevant browser plugins and extensions to see if the issue is gone.

Yet another reason for some or our site is acting upon you is that you may use an extremely outdated operating system (i.e. Windows XP). We do not support such systems nor we support fairly outdated browsers. We understand that somebody may get emotionally attached to the operating system he/she uses for decades, and recognize the expenses associated with the upgrade. The approval process is complex and non-unidirectional endeavor. On average it takes between 24 and 72 hours for our Onboarding team to review an application and make a decision. However, sometimes it requires more back and forth correspondence between us and an applicant.

To expedite the process, simply add your SubscribeStar.adult profile address to your existing social networks Contact/About pages and/or to the personal website. When done, send us links to these pages with the word EXPEDITE in the subject line. Such links can be removed after the approval process is over. As an alternative, the link to the profile page can be used in a post or publication just to prove that an applicant has full control over that online entity.

You don’t need to contact us to unsubscribe. Simply log in to your account and proceed to My Subscription page. Then, in the section Active Subscriptions you can manage your subscriptions: unsubscribe from updates, switch Subscription Tier (the price of the subscription, if such an option exists for particular Star) or completely unsubscribe from the Star.

We do not issue any refund to the unsubscribed whatsoever, no matter how quickly that unsubscription was following the initial subscription.

«unfortunately i do not have any social media accounts, the only thing i have is my e-mail, will this affect my approval for an account?»

Based on our experience, potential Stars who don’t have any or have a very limited social media presence will have difficulties with reaching any significant financial success in the subscription business. A large piece of being successful as a Star is to have an established and significant followers base that is ready to make monetary pledges.

«I’m trying to subscribe to someone, but the form keeps telling me my card was declined. I asked my bank about it and they told me there weren’t any transactions being attempted on their end.»

Our billing process includes a number of industry-standard verifications. Each of such verifications may result in your card being refused to be processed. As a result, we will receive a decline message, and your card won’t be charged. In this case, no attempts to charge your card is going to be made.

Unfortunately, we may have only a generic decline notice in our possession, which won’t help you much. The best way to solve this issue is to check if all information related to your payment method is entered correctly.

While you can submit a payout request at will (but not more frequently than once in 14 days), it will take time to process your payout request. In the «Payouts» section of our Terms of Service, you can read the following:

The User pays all and any fees and taxes associated with receiving money on their account.

Payouts are available after all submitted payments are settled to our bank account and cleared against possible chargebacks. There much more details on payouts, including some conditions that have to be met.

«How do I embed a YouTube video without the link showing up in the text of my post?»

«It looks like my profile was deleted. What happened to it? What happened to the monies I collected on my profile?»

This can be done for number of reasons, but the main is this: the Star was inactive and haven’t visited his/hers profile for significant period of time and still has subscribers (or not). All we’re trying to do is to prevent any damage in a form of monetary loss and disappointment taken by subscribers. Eventually, subscribers will realize that they paid for the content that wasn’t delivered and may request a refund.

With all that being said, all funds collected on the paused profile are kept intact and are safe and will be returned to the Star upon proper payout request or refunded to Subscribers.

Prohibited Uses

We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses.

It’s allowed to create a Star profile only for supporting your own creative activity. If creative activity is not defined or not immediately clear, we take the right to suspend or terminate your account/profile.

In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in the “Profile and Account Termination” chapter, you are prohibited from using the site or its content:

You can use our branding, presented on a dedicated page, for your marketing endeavors, unless such usage harms our reputation as a business or misleads the general public in any possible way, or poorly executed.

Prohibited Content

We may, but have no obligation, to monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, inappropriate, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service.

Creating, promoting and supporting a Star profile/account for the sole purpose of portraying a single person, group or organization in a negative way, degrading their existent or imaginable values, and/or diminishing their presence, ideas, beliefs, appearance, expression and/or actions in any way is strictly forbidden on this platform.

You may not use a false e-mail address, name/nickname, or brand, or pretend to be someone other than yourself, or otherwise mislead us or third-parties as to the origin of any content on this Platform.

You may not post content that infringes on others’ intellectual property.

You may not post content whose purpose is advertising, selling or reselling any goods, items, or materials that do not directly derive from the description of profile itself or from its Subscription Tiers.

You may not post content whose only purpose is to cover social mass events such as marches, demonstrations, gatherings, protests, and other spontaneous or planned, legal or illegal mass actions.

Profile and Account Termination

You can delete your profile and account at any time unless you have active subscribers as a Star.

We can terminate or suspend your account/profile at any time at our discretion. We can also cancel any pledges and remove any content at our sole discretion with or without prior warning and/or explanation. However, in absolute majority cases, we will contact you prior to the account/profile suspension/termination.

Upon account/profile termination, the following will happen:

For Subscribers: all subscriptions will be canceled immediately and no refunds for ongoing subscriptions will be issued whatsoever. Subscribers will retain access to the subscribed material until the end of the subscription period. In order to keep the ability to access subscriptions, Subscribers will need to keep their accounts intact.

For both roles: all financial transactions data and previously filled out tax forms will stay in possession of the respective third parties and/or the Service, for the duration of time outlined by the aforementioned third parties’ “Terms of Service” or similar legal documents.


Illegal Activities.
This Service, as well as the company operating this Service, is governed by the laws of the United States of America. Anything that is considered “illegal” by the US law is illegal for use within our platform and will be removed/terminated.

Doxing. It is absolutely forbidden to aggregate and publish on this Platform any private personal or sensitive information of anybody, regardless of the fact if this person is our User or not, or reveal the identity of such an individual without the explicit written consent, for the purpose of intimidating aforementioned individual through harassment.

Private Information Abuse. Any usage (e.g. sharing, storing, selling) any private information, that became available to the User via this Platform, including, but not limited to, e-mail or home addresses, personal name, and any other data that can be considered “sensitive” or “private”, is strictly prohibited.

Content Sharing. Sharing somebody else’s content, that User got access to on this Platform, outside of this Platform without explicit permission from the original content owner is strictly prohibited. While we do not intermediate between Subscribers and Stars nor intentionally mediate these relationships in regards to the content, we will act upon reports of stolen, illegally shared, re-sold, or otherwise misused content originated on this Platform.

Impersonation. Presenting yourself as somebody else, especially well known and famous, leads to instant and permanent termination of the account, upon discovery.

Criminal Activities. People with a proven criminal history or with a known affiliation with violent or dangerous groups (e.g. organized criminal groups, terrorist or cyber-terrorist organizations, illegal militias, mercenary organizations, violent hate groups, etc), won’t be unboarded and will be terminated upon discovery such activities, without regards to the declared purpose of the corresponding profile.

Profile / Account Ghosting. It’s strictly prohibited to create an account/profile with the same, new, or altered credentials after an initial account/profile by this particular Star/User was terminated, suspended, or otherwise disabled. For instance, if the profile «X» was terminated, it is prohibited to create a new profile «Y» by the same individual, organization, and/or any other associated entity.

These Terms remain in effect after your account is suspended, terminated, or otherwise disabled.

Onboarding Stars

To start posting/publishing on this Platform, you have to become a Star.

We provide our Service only to the Stars whose profiles/accounts are approved.

Before a fully functional version of the Platform is available for your use as a Star, you will need to complete the Sign-Up form. This form must be completed in full, including your actual active e-mail address, secure password, original profile name, reasonable monthly subscription fee, attractive profile avatar, and meaningful profile description.

Upon completion, your application will be reviewed and considered for approval, which may or may not be granted. We may grant approval or refuse to do so, at our sole discretion with or without explanation for each outcome.

We reserve the right to take as much time as needed in order to finish the review process. If you believe your application was rejected by mistake, you can contact our Support Team via e-mail with questions and additional supporting materials or information.

Those profiles that are under review should be expecting fair treatment, but profile owners must release us from any and all obligations with respect to the time that takes to review the profile and conditions that will be applied to the aforementioned review.

After you signed up but before your profile fully approved, you can use Platform with limited features.

Relationships between Stars, Subscribers and the Service

OTHER DISPUTES
We do not mediate or arbitrate relationships between Subscribers and Stars, nor do we interfere in any controversy that may derive from such relationships.

In case that requires both parties involvement (i.e. Subscribers and Stars) either should initiate contact with the opponent/proponent by any possible means, avoiding any involvement from our side. If such involvement is unavoidable, we reserve the right to proceed on whatever timeline and with whatever proposition we decide.

In case when you, as a Subscriber or a Star having issues or concerns in regards to provided Services, we encourage you to contact us directly prior to initiating any related discussion online elsewhere.

By agreeing to these Terms you are waiving your right to trial by jury or to participate in a class action or representative proceeding. We, as a Company and as a Service, are also waiving these rights.

For further information, refer to the “Limitation of Liability” and “Indemnity” chapters.

Copyright

We do not review, audit, revision, or curate content published on SubscribeStar.com to determine if it is a fair use case (ref. to «Limitations on exclusive rights»), but we will normally remove the reported content if we receive a valid DMCA takedown notice.

If you believe that a content creator on our Service is infringing on your copyright, please send a DMCA takedown notice to [email protected] to have the content removed. This notice must comply with the requirements of section 512(c)(3)(A) of the DMCA. Such notice will be immediately passed on to the content creator responsible for the creating/publishing of the artwork in question.

We are giving the involved content creator 72 hours to handle a DMCA notice on their own before the Service will get directly involved.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the Service is provided, without the express written permission by us, unless we stated otherwise.

Submissions

If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions (e.g. contest entries, proof of creative body of work, etc) or without a request from us you send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by e-mail, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, “comments”), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.

You are solely responsible for any comments you make and their accuracy. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any comments posted by you or any third-party.

Recurring Billing

The subscription mechanism of this Service is based on recurring billing.

The recurring billing is enabled automatically after a Star gets five active Subscribers.

Until then, the existing Subscribers have to manually initiate charge by going to My Subscriptions page and hitting the Pay action link found against the name of the Star in question in the Active Subscriptions section.

The exact recurring charge date is not connected to the month’s start nor to the end of it, but rather to the moment when subscription event has occurred. The recurring billing date is determined by the Service at our sole discretion. Normally, recurring billing for each subscription runs roughly every 30 calendar days for each subscription instance.

We reserve the right to suspend a recurring billing for the following cases:

Tips can be made by anybody to the Star who has Tips feature manually enabled by the Service staff.

We are not obliged to enable the Tips feature while reserving the right to disable it at any moment.

We take up to 30 calendar days to review Tips before processing and landing contributed funds to Star’s account.

Subscriptions

The subscription fee (i.e. price of monthly subscription) will be charged according to the billing model chosen by the Star and introduced to the Subscriber upon subscription.

The number of payments paid by the Subscriber and the total amount depends on the first date of each billing cycle and settings, whether it should be paid instantly upon subscription or otherwise.

A monthly billing cycle can be defined as 28, 30, or 31 days regardless of the number of days in the following or current calendar month.

When a Subscriber changes the subscription tier, a new subscription is initiated, canceling the initial one. In other words, Subscribers pay as if they subscribe for the first time following the current billing model chosen by the Star.

Every subscription has its own date and time, therefore multiple subscriptions will result in multiple charges, rather than in one batch charge.

Prices for subscriptions are subject to change by Stars without notice. Any further disputes in regards to subscription price changes must be handled by the Subscribers with the Stars (i.e. content providers) directly via available e-mail or direct messaging. Please, refer to our Refund Policy for further information.

By becoming a Subscriber, you confirm that you use your own payment method that issued in your name and belongs to you. Subsequently, you agree to comply with our payment processors’ rules and regulations in their entirety.

None of the monthly subscriptions can run unverified and without a manual renewal by the Subscribers longer than 365 or 366 days for a leap-year, whichever is applicable.

Every subscription must be reviewed and manually renewed by the associated Subscriber at least once per year. This must be done on or before December 31st, or whenever requested by the Platform.

The renewal is done via mechanism and on a schedule provided by the Platform. Both mechanism and a schedule are unequivocally presented to each active Subscriber within the Platform and are applied to every subscription individually.

The subscriptions will be put on hold until further developments if failed to be renewed in a timely manner. Upon subscription hold being initiated, all associated inbound and outbound funds flow will be stopped.

If and when our attempt to charge the current payment method fails, we will repeat such an attempt within the next few hours. When such attempts are unsuccessful, the selected payment method is deemed faulty and will be marked as such in the Payment Options section of the Account Settings page. To continue with the existing and future subscriptions, you will have to adjust a payment method by adding a previously used but updated credit/debit card. Alternatively, you can add a new card. As soon as this change happens, we will automatically repeat our attempts to charge your updated preferred payment method unless the recurring billing was disabled.

We may, at our sole discretion, limit or cancel subscriptions.

Unsubscriptions

The Subscriber can cancel subscription (i.e. unsubscribe) at any time.

Upon unsubscribing from the Star, the Subscriber will lose access to the subscribed materials.

We do not provide any refund whatsoever for those who unsubscribed, no matter how quick that unsubscription has happened.

Fees for Subscribers

There is no fee to start and run an account as a Subscriber with our Service.

You can cancel your pledge (i.e. subscription) at any time.

The Foreign Transaction Fee is subject to change by the authorized institutions without prior notice. We have no control over this charge.

If you are located in the EU, then VAT is added to the final amount of subscription. The exact amount of VAT is determined by the country you are resident of and is shown when you set up the initial pledge amount.

The Platform handles collecting and paying out VAT.

Fees for Stars

There is no fee to start and run an account as a Star with our Service.

Additional fees may be associated with the Payout (see “Payouts”).

Subscription Tiers

To gradually reward your subscribers, as a Star you can set Subscription Tiers, each with different Subscription Fees.

As a Subscriber, you can switch to a higher or lower Subscription Tier at any time, if such a choice is provided by a Star.

If applicable, Subscribers are charged instantly upon switching tiers with the billing period reset to the time of switching.

When switching from the lower to the higher tier, Subscribers pay the full price of a higher tier, not the difference between the original and new tier price.

When switching from the higher to the lower tier, no credit is given to Subscriber, i.e. the difference between tier prices is not credited to Subscriber’s credit card. Switching to a lower tier immediately revokes access to all previously available content from a higher tier.

Payouts

General Statements

Payout is a process of sending funds collected on the Star’s account to a chosen by this User financial instrument or institution (e.g. bank, eWallet).

The payout can be issued exclusively to a person or organization that is the User who initially registered the account with the Service and who conducts the actual content publishing activities within the Platform.

While in some exceptional cases, the payout can be issued to the payee different than the original User, there is no guarantee we will do that.

If we deem the information in our possession is insufficient for payout purposes, we may request additional identification or proof of substance from the payee. Such documents may include Driver’s License, State ID, National or International Passport, Citizenship, or National ID Card for individuals. And for the organization, the Articles of Incorporation, Certificate of Organization, or any other similar company formation documents may be requested.

Star must submit a request on the Payouts page to initiate the payout process.

We reserve the right to deny or pause payout to any User until the matters in question are resolved, if:

Modifications to the Service and Prices

We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

Prices for our services (i.e. Service Fee) are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.

Accuracy of Information

These restrictions may include any pledges (i.e. Subscriptions and/or Tips) placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order (i.e. Subscription and/or Tip), we may attempt to notify you by contacting via e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or suspend orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate account information for all subscriptions and other pledges you make. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your e-mail address and credit card number, and expiration dates so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

You absolutely can not use somebody else’s data for the Tax Identification forms (W-9, W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E).

We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel subscription(s) if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Service or on any related website, including but not limited to pricing information, except as required by law.

No specified update or refresh date applied in the Service or on any related website should be taken to indicate that all information in the Service or on any related website has been modified or updated.

Limitation of Liability

Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Severability

Service Termination

The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.

These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms of Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our site, and/or delete your account or profile.

Each user’s tax liabilities will vary and users are expected to conduct their own due diligence and file any and all proper tax documentation based upon income derived from this site. Each user is responsible for filing his/her own income tax report (if applicable). The Service assumes no responsibility for any individual tax liability based upon their income.
